A doula helps you navigate your pregnancy, birth, and postpartum by providing expert support and advice.
Research indicates that doula support improves a number of outcomes for mothers, families, and babies with no downside. According to researchers, the most benefit is derived when support is provided by a person who:
- is present solely to provide support
- has adequate training, and
- is not a friend or family member
Tulsa Birth Center is proud to offer this kind of expert support. Tulsa Birth Center doulas offer physical, emotional, and educational support for labor, delivery and immediate postpartum; and support births that happen at home, in the birth center, or in the hospital.
Doula packages start at $1200. Discount available for clients of Tulsa Birth Center midwives.
Available Packages
$1200 ($1000 when added to our midwifery services.)
Package includes:
Prenatal Support – Your doula will meet with you and your partner before the birth, so that you may become acquainted and discuss your priorities or concerns, and birth vision.
Birth Support – Your doula will be on-call for you surrounding your due date, and will accompany you in labor to help create a safe and satisfying birth experience. by providing emotional support, physical comfort, and the information you need to make informed decisions as they arise in labor.
Postpartum Support – Your doula will meet with you after your birth, and will be available by phone/text/email to answer any questions you may have about your recovery or your baby.
$1200 ($1000 when added to our midwifery services.)
Package includes:
Prenatal Support – Your doula will meet with you and your family before the birth, so that your child may become familiar with the doula. She will also discuss your wishes, priorities, and plans for your children surrounding the birth. One difference between a sibling doula and a babysitter is that a sibling doula is trained to help children feel safe and included during the birth process.
Birth Support – Your doula will be on-call for surrounding your due date, and will care for your children while you are in labor, making sure they are safe and comfortable. She can care for your children in your home, birth room, or hotel room, and she can accompany them into the birthing location at times of your choosing.
$40/hr Daytime Hours or $45/hr Nighttime Hours (Save $5/hr when added to our midwifery services.)
10 hour minimum package.
Package includes:
Postpartum Guidance – Your doula will come to your home to answer any question you have during the postpartum period. From baths to breastfeeding, your postpartum doula is an expert in helping you enjoy the journey of new parenthood without anxiety.
Self-Care Support – Your doula will make sure you’re getting the kind of support you need in the postpartum period, by helping you finally get a shower or grab a bite to eat..
Household Support – Your doula will gladly complete simple housekeeping tasks, like doing dishes or folding laundry, that have been hard for you to manage in the postpartum period.
$1500 ($1300 when added to our midwifery services.)
Package includes:
Final Deep Clean (up to 2000sqft) – Get your home sparkely clean for your homebirth or new arrival. You will feel more relaxed and ready for birth knowing that the bathtub is ready for that postpartum herbal bath and the kitchen is beautiful and inviting to any would-be postpartum helpers.
Nursery organize/set-up – Get everything laid out and put away in just the right way to help you ease into your new role as a mother of 1, 2, or more. We can also help you build your nursery furniture!
7 days postpartum doula support (3 daytime hours each day for the first week postpartum.) – The more you rest, postpartum, the more quickly you get back to 100%. Having 3 hours a day of dedicated support means you will be able to relax and heal. You can add additional postpartum doula hours at the discounted rate!
