4 Week Childbirth Education Series
Preparing for the arrival of a new baby can be an exciting but overwhelming experience for many parents. A comprehensive childbirth education class can help ease anxiety and provide expectant parents with the knowledge and tools needed to have a positive birth experience.
Our 4-week childbirth education series is designed to prepare parents for labor, delivery, and the postpartum period. Each weekly session is led by a qualified childbirth educator and covers a range of topics including:
Week 1 - Labor and Birth
Learn about the physical and emotional aspects of childbirth, including how to recognize labor, what to expect at each stage from early labor to immediate postpartum, explanation of how the baby navigates your pelvis and how we as your care providers talk about and support you through the process. Birth partners are welcome. Time for questions and discussion.
Week 2 - Coping Techniques
Learn different tools for coping with labor including guided relaxation, deep breathing, positions for different stages of labor, and preparing your space. Birth partners are welcome. Time for questions and discussion.
Week 3 - Postpartum and Newborn Care
Preparing for and what to expect in the first months as a new parent. Topics can be adjusted to fit attendees’ specific questions and concerns.
